It's been such a busy time for me, I've managed to allow my dear blog to fall into a state of advanced neglect. But no longer! =)

First thing's first...yes there will be lots of exciting new things coming to Tiny Cravings very soon. Yey, it's about time, right? I bet some of you were starting to think I've lost my creative flair? =P (ok...maybe temporarily)

So what's coming??

I'm getting ready for fall early this year! That's right...I said it...Fall! I know it's barely summer and all that, but I'm discovering that the more time I prepare, the better the season. So very very soon (as soon as I get the photoshoot done)...I am going to put up some **absolutely gorgeous** handmade crocheted cupcake scarves!!!

The best part...these will be entirely custom made, just for you. So, like everything else on my website...you get to design your own! I'm excited. =)

Bangkok Update

Hey everyone!

Yes I realize it's been AGES since I updated my blog. Shame on me! Things have been sooo crazy since moving to Bangkok but I'm loving every minute of it. I'll get more into all of that later...for now I wanted to mention that I've reopened the store for custom ordering for a short period. So right now, everything on the front page is available for sale and customization. Custom Ordering will remain open for another week, then I will probably have to close it down for a bit to play catch up! =P

Tiny Cravings On Etsy!

Hello everyone!

I hope you're all enjoying the Fall Season?

Well I am officially moving to Bangkok, Thailand for a few months on November 11th!!

What does that mean for Tiny Cravings? Basically until I can get settled into my new apartment and figure out the ins and outs of shipping from Thailand and all that fun stuff (sure), I won't be able to accept custom orders. However! I have lots and lots of new and amazing items already available for sale right now on my Tiny Cravings Etsy!

The last of the Buttercream Party Cupcakes are all listed, as well as awesome new fall items like Pumpkin Pie Necklaces & Rings, and Caramel Apple Earrings...all which smell absolutely amazing by the way! If you love Pumpkin or Caramel Apple scents you need to pick one of these items up. =)

Also I've introduced a new collection of top quality absolutely stellar lockets. I have a few Nightmare Before Christmas inspired PUMPKIN CHEESECAKE SCENTED!!! lockets, as well as some beautiful Steampunk Heart Lockets, and some adorable Glowing Shroom Scenery Lockets. The Steampunk heart lockets are currently sold out, but I hope to have more steampunk items soon. Also a few of the lockets even GLOW in the dark, how cute is that?

Plus I currently have the yummiest Buttercream Birthstone Cupcakes available. Right now I only have 1 cupcake for each month, and there are still several months left so go and pick one up before they're all gone, as I don't know if I'll be making anymore of these yet or not. =)

I'm going to be listing all sorts of adorable Christmas/Holiday lockets as well...Gingerbread Houses, Christmas Town Scenes, all scented in gingerbread or candy cane yumminess depending on the design. So keep checking back for when I update my etsy with these new designs.

Fall Is Here!! =)

That's right...Fall is finally here!

Chilly nights and perfect cute jacket weather...
Warm apple cider...
Visits to the Pumpkin Patch to find that perfect pumpkin...
The sound of dry leaves skipping across the pavement...
Bright Greens change into warm Oranges, Reds, and Browns...
Smell of crisp leaves and carved pumpkins...

I'm ready! Are you? =P

So what's going on at Tiny Cravings this month?

Yes right now the online store is all out of stock, and will remain so until after Halloween. I'm so thrilled to finally be caught up with all the orders from summer, that now I get to make tons of wonderful fall items for the Enchanted Ball on Halloween. I will be making fabulous Halloween goodies, but also Thanksgiving, and Christmas items...so I hope to have LOTS to show you when Tiny Cravings goes back online after this month. And everything that doesn't sell at the ball will be going up on my etsy. =)

Make sure you are signed up for my newsletter to get the latest news, and to find out when I'll be listing goodies up on etsy. I'll have lots of new items for you, not just little clay sweets and treats, but a whole variety of goodies, and hopefully some lovely art prints as well from some of my Fall designs and digital paintings...yet to be seen.

I'll be taking pics of my progress as I work throughout the month, and keeping everyone as up to date as I can. I also don't want to release photos of my newest designs just yet because I've had annoying issues with posers, faux friends (frenemies), copycats, and sad design leachers lol...so I'm more careful about who I show my new stuff to.

That's ok though, there's only one Tiny Cravings, and they can try as hard as they want, but the quality will always fall short of what MY customers have come to expect. =) I will always have the best new designs...and will gladly accept the title of TRENDSETTER...rather than whine about copycats. =P lol

No Time To Say Hello Goodbye

Hey guys,

Sorry for the lack of updates recently...I've been smothered under a mound of orders and emails and am only very slowly beginning to crawl my way back out. Starting to see a very faint light at the end of the tunnel...

Anyways. When Tiny Cravings began, I wanted to be sure to give you, the customer, as many options as possible to completely customize your perfect jewelry items. However as time goes on I'm finding that there are just far too many of you with far too many tastes and interests that I simply cannot keep up in the customization aspect. Therefore, there will be big changes to Tiny Cravings soon...for you see...I too have my own tastes and interests...and most often...they do not coincide with that of my customers. Well they do at first, but by the 500th or so cupcake...it gets old. You understand? =) Yes, I think so.

So, I know I said I would have tons of Halloween items, but instead I'll be spending most of October preparing for a Halloween Ball where I will have a table and will be peddling my lovely Tiny Cravings items. I plan on having ALOT of items just in case, but have a feeling that I will probably over prepare...so everything that doesn't sell at the Ball will be listed on my etsy. Most likely at very reduced prices, depending on if it's Halloween stuff, general Fall stuff, Christmas...etc.

Which means that I'll most likely be closing off most of the online shop while I am preparing. I don't think I'll ever completely stop taking custom orders...I hate to disappoint and have a real problem saying "no" ...but in general, the custom options will disappear, and when Tiny Cravings comes back after Halloween with lots of great stuff for Christmas, there won't be many custom items anymore. I'll most likely be making what I want...whatever I want...and whatever I want seems to always be popular for at least awhile. I don't know if I'll completely start putting everything up on etsy or redesign my website to accommodate this...we'll see. I still have a long way to go before I get to that point. =P

But I'll be sure to keep everyone updated with what I'm doing in the next month, and take photos of the work that I'm doing, and lots of photos at the Ball on Halloween. =) I hope it's as fun as I'm expecting!

Big Update

Hey everyone!

Ok so I know this may disappoint alot of you ladies, especially those who have been anticipating the new Fall/Halloween stuff...but there will be a plus side, I promise.

I am so excited, because I got a table at this Enchanted Ball on Halloween here in downtown Cincinnati where I live. My cousin runs the event so I'll have a great table. =) However this means that I will be spending the rest of this month finishing up and getting everyone's orders out, and probably the entire month of October just preparing for the Ball...therefore I might have to close off online order during that time.

I know, I know...everyone gets so upset when I close the site down. But sometimes there's just no other way around it, unless I start giving people ridiculous 6-8 week TATs, and I already hate having it at 4 weeks! We'll see. I expect that it will take alot of preparing for this ball, as they are expecting around 1,000 people, and I'm going to be doing tons of Halloween stuff. Lots of Nightmare Before Christmas/Tim Burton style jewelry. =) Also lots of Gothic Lolita jewelry and accessories as well.

But here's the good news. Everything doesn't sell at the Ball will be up for sale on my etsy...and better yet...since I'll be selling Halloween stuff, after Halloween is over, expect it all to be much cheaper. So Basically, I'll have a huge after Halloween type sale. I'll still have lots of other fall goodies though, and hopefully will knock you girls out by the time Christmas comes...which I will start preparing for right after Halloween. =)

I'm really excited though! I will be super dressed up, am hoping for a Gothic Cinderalla type theme...you know, because it's a Ball...and this girl has been single way too long! hehe....maybe I'll meet my Prince right? Even if I am stuck behind a table all night. =P But I'm sure I'll have awesome friends who will help out as well so I can wander around and meet people.

If you are in the Cincinnati area...come to the Enchanted Ball...it will be amazing. I am so excited for this!! =)

Seeking Sanity

Hey guys...sorry I've been a bit MIA lately I've been crazy busy trying to get things done, entertaining company from out of town, dealing with a few supplier issues etc. etc. etc. I'm totally bummed out that I haven't even been able to BEGIN work on my Halloween goodies yet, and I'm still WAY behind on orders. I'm thinking of hiring a small contingency of Oompa Loompas...I hear they are amazing workers and their tiny little hands would be perfect for the job.

I really hate having TAT so long and making people wait weeks for their orders, but it's either that or close down the shop while I catch up for awhile...and that seems to cause even more confusion and stress attempting to answer the flood of emails I get about when I'll be opening back up or restocking, etc. I've already had lots and lots of requests to re-open the Summer Smoothies...but I tell ya...I just can't do it captain! I don't have the power!! =P

We had family visiting from Canada all weekend and of course it was my job to play entertainment director. If you've ever seen My Big Fat Greek Wedding it might give you a small image of what I was having to deal with ALL weekend. Yes. Being Arabic you get used to these things...but when you are trying to run a business and deal with pushy Arabs (no offense to my family I love them...but Arabs can be REALLY pushy lmao)...something's gotta give. In this case, quite likely my sanity? Let's hope not.

So now after a really long weekend all I want to do is rest, but the orders keep mounting up and there's just no time. I've never been one to claim that there aren't enough hours in the day but I tell ya...there just aren't! 24 just isn't enough. Yes I say 24 because sleep has quite simply become a thing of the past. Shame...as I used to be quite an avid lucid dreamer.

Hopefully sometime this week I'll be able to get back on track...and eventually get to start working on my new items. I was really hoping that this would be a quiet month so I could focus on fall items but it has turned out to be quite the opposite! Oh, don't you just love the irony?

I have plans. Big plans. Many plans. But time is making a fool of me...and I'm starting to get quite peeved. There's not much else I can do besides give up sleep. If only I had a Time Turner...*sighs* ...put that on my list of things I need, right along side a Pensieve.

I also need a break from clay, so once...if I ever manage...to catch up on these orders, I'm going to do more illustration work, and other designs. I'll be working with other materials and such...as I'm getting clayed out really quickly. We shall see. We shall see. Sorry I don't have better news or cheerier things to post about. I'm stressed to the limit and things just keep managing to go wrong no matter how hard I try to do things right.

Free hugs anyone? I need them. Lots of them. I'll update again soon...once my head doesn't feel as though it's completely detached from my body.

Settled In And Sorted

I'm thrilled to announce that Tiny Cravings is all comfortably settled into its new home for the summer, and will be putting out all sorts of wonderful and splediferous new items. Hopefully lots of Limited Edition Summer Items and the like. =)

Now that we're all "settled and sorted" all outstanding orders will be shipped out this week, most likely tomorrow if I can manage it. The rest of the shop is once again available for your customization and purchase, and the TAT is down to 1-2 weeks. Yeyy!! Do the happy TAT dance! I should totally make a dancing gif for that, lol!

I swear, Mercury never gives me a break. As a gemini I always struggle like mad through retrograde periods. But now that Mercury's turned direct *cue song* "turn around...every now and then I get a little bit lonely and you're never coming round..." wow...see!? Just look how much my energy has changed now. I'm actually singing on my blog. LOL. It's like day and night!

Next week my cousin and I are going to a Birthday Massacre concert. (woohoo *pumps fist*) I love this band and have been a fan for several years now. I'm totally ecstatic to see them perform live. If you don't know who The Birthday Massacre is, good lord, you're missing out. Check out their website! It's sooo wonderfully immersive. I have every intention of making the Tiny Cravings website that amazingly awesome. Someday. Hopefully soon! =)

Few Extra Spring Cupcakes!

I've had just about every person who ordered a spring cupcake or item within the past two months ask me if they can grab another spring cupcake. =P I think they're addictive? Maybe? Haha.

Anyways...I ending up making a tiny few extra for this very purpose. If I had time to hunt down the first people who emailed me about a certain cupcake I would let them have first dibs, but that would take forever to go through all my emails and comments entered at checkout.

Helping Our Furry Friends!

Hi Cupcakes!

I'm delighted to tell you all, that now a portion of all sales from Tiny Cravings goes directly to the ASPCA (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) each month!!

What can I say...the Sarah McLachlan commercial got to me. I've always loved her, and the shih-tzus (I have a shih-tzu) in that commercial just broke my heart. People who neglect or abuse animals should be put to sleep!



I strongly urge you all to watch the video. And visit myaspca.org and make a donation to help our furry friends!! You will feel so much better after doing so. It feels really good to help the less fortunate, and I hope all my Tiny Cravings customers will take solace knowing that a portion of their money is going directly to a VERY GOOD cause! =)

It's Bunny Season!

Hi Cupcakes!

Yes Spring is in the air, time for precious baby birds and bunnies and flowering things. =) How can anyone not love Spring? I'm thrilled with the response that my new Spring Cupcakes have received, and will be working hard to get those out to everyone in a timely manner. Exactly when, is still in question. I'm hoping for the end of this month, but we'll have to see how many of these orders keep coming in, and when I'm going to have to cut it off and stop accepting more...at least for a while.

Or maybe the first set of pre-orders will ship at the end of the month, and then there may be a second set that ship mid-May or something like that. We'll see. You guys are gonna love them though...they're quite hard to let go of I must admit. =P

Tiny Cravings will be undergoing some pretty huge changes that I'm SOOO excited about. Expect a new website, many new designs, and many new and wonderful things for you all to "oooo" and "aaaa" over. ^_^ (hopefully haha)

I'll keep you guys updated here as things are coming along...but for now I don't want to say too much, just that I'm really excited for what the future will bring.
